Dr. St-Hilaire Is Board Certified In Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery And Is A Fellow Of The American College Of Surgeons.

Dr. Hugo St-Hilaire attended the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City where he trained in General Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans prior to spending a year obtaining advanced training in Craniofacial and Microsurgery at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. Upon his return to New Orleans, he joined the staff of Louisiana State University Plastic Surgery and quickly ascended to the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery. He is currently the Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at LSU and dedicates the majority of his practice to microsurgical reconstruction with an emphasis on restorative breast surgery. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has lectured in regional, national and international settings. Dr. St-Hilaire is Board Certified in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been instrumental in establishing multiple microsurgical breast reconstruction in the region (Lafayette, Gulfport, Shreveport). He has also been involved in international microsurgical missions (Guatemala and Ecuador). Dr St-Hilaire enjoys spending his free time with his wife ,Brooke, and six children (CD, Adele, Ellie, Caroline, Anarose and JP).
