DIEP Flap breast reconstruction is an advanced procedure that offers natural and long-lasting results. By carefully transferring tissue from the lower abdomen, we can create a soft and natural breast mound while preserving muscle function.

The SGAP Flap, or Superior Gluteal Artery Perforator Flap, was developed by the Center for Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction’s Dr. Robert Allen in 1993. We were also the first to perform the bilateral simultaneous SGAP in 1994, and our experience has subsequently been published.

Developed in 2010, the PAP Flap (Profunda Artery Perforator) procedure is an excellent donor site option for women who have had previous abdominal surgery or have limited abdominal tissue. The PAP Flap is based on the profunda artery perforator and utilizes the tissue of the posterior thigh.

Like the DIEP Flap procedure, SIEA Flap reconstruction surgery replaces the skin and soft tissue removed at mastectomy with soft, warm, living tissue by borrowing skin and fatty tissue from the abdomen.

During an ICAP Flap (intercostal artery perforator) procedure, skin and fat on the lateral chest wall can be used to augment the breast. The ICAP procedure can be used as either primary reconstruction after mastectomy or secondary reconstruction after radiation therapy treatment. It also works well for women who have already had other types of reconstructive procedures but need more fullness or shape.

APEX Flap breast reconstruction is an advanced procedure that offers natural and long-lasting results. By utilizing microsurgical techniques, we can transfer tissue from the patient's lower abdomen, preserving muscle function and providing a soft and natural breast mound.

Hybrid breast reconstruction, offered at the Center for Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction, is an innovative approach that combines the benefits of autologous tissue reconstruction and implant-based techniques. This procedure offers a personalized solution to meet the unique needs and preferences of each patient.

Implant-based breast reconstruction offers a safe and effective method for restoring the shape and volume of the breasts after mastectomy or significant breast tissue loss. This procedure involves the use of implants to recreate a natural-looking breast mound.
